Rare Character Limited Release Bourbon Whiskey 2025 Batch 02｜ Other Products

Limited Release Batch 02 is a marriage of fifteen-year and eight-and-a-half-year Kentucky straight bourbons at 121.46 proof — Rare Character's small-batch line, built for wider availability than the single barrels, from the palate Whisky Advocate credits for America's hottest whiskey company. Pablo Moix, a twenty-year vintage-spirits buyer, and Peter Nevenglosky founded Rare Character in Louisville in 2021, sourcing from Wild Turkey, Willett, Bardstown Bourbon Company, and brokers, sealing every bottle in colored wax; the Limited Release batches blend multiple barrels to a profile, numbered and wax-sealed. Batch 02, the 2025 release, marries fifteen-year and eight-and-a-half-year Kentucky straight bourbon and bottles at full cask strength, 121.46 proof. The house notes: red fruit, dried citrus, and toasted oak on the nose over caramel, vanilla, and baking spice; roasted nuts, leather, and honeyed grain on a dense palate; and a long, warming finish. Expect the fifteen-year lending oak and leather, the younger stock bringing fruit and proof, in a blend richer than either alone. Honest note: the batches are the findable Rare Character — the way in for the drinker who can't get a single barrel — and Batch 02 has fifteen-year stock in it at a price the Brook Hills never see.
