Jamrock is Arhumatic's tribute to Jamaica, and the base rum is the reason to buy it: LROK from Hampden Estate, one of the most revered high-ester pot still rums on earth. Rhum arrangé is the centuries-old French Caribbean tradition of macerating rum with fresh fruit, herbs, and spices, and founders Clémence and Thierry Ogez — who ran a high-end fruit shop in Lille for 15 years before launching the brand in 2014 — mostly build it on Guadeloupe agricole. Here they went bolder: unaged Hampden LROK steeped with fresh orange, candied orange, and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, bottled at a higher 35% ABV, the strength Arhumatic reserves for its most intense recipes. The brand describes it as a jam session where every ingredient plays an equal part, and that's the effect: expect the funk of Hampden pot still — overripe banana, tropical hogo, cane sugar — lifted by bright fresh citrus and deepened by candied peel, with roasted coffee arriving on a long, haunting finish. Drinkhacker noted Arhumatic's willingness to use fancy rums like Hampden and Long Pond rather than just agricole, and this is the flagship of that idea. It's the arrangé for rum geeks: serve it neat and cold, over ice, or as the base of an Old Fashioned riff with an orange twist.
